what are the regulations to emancipation in Tennessee?

Im 16 and pregnant. Im 4 1/2 months. My family hates the father of my child who is also my boyfriend and we want to get married and of course my family is completly against it. My dad made it to where I cant have any contact with my biyfriend and its really stressing me out. My house is full of stress and hot air between me and my family and I want out. I have a job that I just started and I was wondering if I could get emancipated without my parents concent? I am trying to save every penny I make so I can pay for everything. I can get my own insurance and I could get WIC and go on the HUGS program . Can I get out and make it where me and my boyfriend raise our baby our way in our own house?

well, I don’t know, I dont live in tenesee. but I’m pretty sure you can. I don’t think you’re exactly choosing yer boyfriend over yer family, but a better way of life fer you and your baby. if you have no contact with your boyfriend, then your baby will be without it’s dad, right? so dont worry that other people say you’re ditching your family fer you boyfriend, they do have a point tho, you and your boyfriend may not last and it may put strain on your relationship if you have a baby, but idt he’d leave you w/ his child either, okay now I’m just rambling so, hope this helped! sorry!

I totally agree with mysteryair.

Answer #3

Well you don’t know how the stress of the baby will put on to your relationship and he could leave you with the baby by yourself even if your family is mad at you they won’t leave you like your boyfriend could

Answer #4

HELLO??? baby on the way! He aint going nowhere! dang does nobody have faith in love anymore is that to fu* OVERRATED!

Answer #5

If your family does not like it, theres obviously something wrong. Chose your family over the boyfriend. Boyfriends dont tend to last too long, especially at the age of 16. Keep him as your boyfriend and I wouldnt plan on getting married un ill you’re much older.
