All I can say is write about what you know. Don’t try to go over the top with overly-descriptive words and imagery, just be honest. Instead of trying to write a song, just write a short story. Let your imagination run a bit, but don’t stray too far from what you know. Once that’s done, you’ll start to form an idea of the main points of what you’ve written, then you can tweak it a bit. Then, add some rhymes and a bit of imagery and perfect it :)

It would help to know what genre you’re interested in, but assuming it’s somewhat pop, then relationships and desire are the most common.
