What are some great telescope brands?

I have been interested in Astronomy for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me a telescope for my birthday when I was 8, but it is more of a toy. I am looking into buying a good brand high quality telescope. I am willing to spend between $100-$500. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

I recommend the Meade DS-2130 AT-TC Reflector Telescope or the iOptron SmartStar E N114 GoTo Reflector Telescope. You can find them under $300 online.

Orion is the one I have, and I love it I think it was 350 not to much it works great for the money I spent.
