Hmm, lets see. You can make your own ornaments out of string, balloons, glitter and glue, they turn out VERY PRETTY.

Heres how.

Take a balloon, and blow it up to about the size of an ornament. Get any kind of string, and wrap it around the balloon as much or as little as you want. Take the glue, and spread it all over the string after your balloon is tight and snug with string. Roll into a bowl of your choice colored glitter. Let Dry. When the glue and glitter is completely dry, take a needle or a sharp object and pop the balloon inside, remove excess balloon pieces. take a ribbon, string, or paper clip/ornament hanger and hang it on the tree. Pretty Ornaments! Also, if you want something inside the ornament like random jingling bells, or whatever you can fit into a balloon, shove them down the hole of the balloon before blowing it up. When you pop the balloon the item will be inside the ornament, so make it tasteful :)

Another type of ornament is very easily created, and easy enough that a child can do it ( child supervision though because it involves small objects!)

Go to a craft store and buy crystal colored beads, and white, blue, red or green pipe cleaner. Take the pipe cleaner and string the crystal beads onto pipe cleaner. After doing so, spin the pipe cleaner to hold the beads on, and hang it from your tree. They look like icicles hanging from the tree, so this is best done on a tree with blue and silver bulbs, with blue or white lights to reflect off the crystal beads. It’s really pretty!!

Remember on either of the ornaments, you can even write the persons name on them, be creative with it and it will be a very cheap, and sweet “from-the-heart” gift idea for someones tree :) They should appreciate it more than a store bought ornament : )
