FYI to the first person - Flyleaf isn’t really a metal band. It doesn’t make a band metal just because a band has some screamo vocals. But Flyleaf is a good band. They’re mainly a rock band, but they are Christian.

Now, here’s the answer to your actual question - First off, no offence to you or your mom, but she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Not all metal is “evil” or “devilish”. Most metal bands don’t worship satan at all.

A good metal band that’s openly Christian though is As I Lay Dying. They’re very awesome so you should really check them out if you haven’t.
