What Are Some Country Songs For Altos?

I’m planning on auditioning for our school’s varsity show choir. I have almost everything I need to be prepared for this in a few weeks. I just need to choose a song for the finals (if I make it). I’m not sure what to sing!! I’m a good alto and love country music. I think that today’s country bests suits my voice. I’ve been told I have a small “Texan” accent and my favorite artists are Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, and Shania Twain… if this helps at all.

So do you guys have any suggestions on country songs that show off an alto’s voice?? I just need 16 measures, and it has to be GREAT. I’ve been thinking about the beginning of “Inside Your Heaven” by Carrie Underwood, but fast songs are always fun and show more of my spunky personality. If you know of a song that you think suits me that’s not country… that’s okay suggest it anyway!!
