What do you do when you are home alone and someone breaks in?

Clear everything out of a closet, and when someone does break in go sit in the closet. XD It’s an idea lol. ;P

Actually wasp spray works better…..first you can spray and shoot a target from a much further distance. Anyone getting it in their eyes isn’t going to focus on you any longer….LOL

I would grab my phone, and hide. Call 911 ! And since I have lighters and hair spray laying around, I’d just use that!

That’s why you clear out the closet for emergencys. lol

Get out of the house and get to a niehgbors house where you can call the police.

I actually think about this a lot lol, there are soo many different scenarios! Like depending on the time of day, what they broke in for, if I come face to face with them before I could do something.. ect.. lol it goes on and on.

Grab my cell phone and call 911.

Grab kitchen knives & my phone, hide in my moms bathroom & call 911. Almost happened twice.

Beat up the person with a hammer. I always keep something either hard like a hammer or sharp lik a knife in my room.

1. Grab the cordless phone
2. Go into a room that you can lock. Stand behind a wall next to the door, in case the burglar has a firearm and shoots through the door..
3. Grab some object that you could use to defend yourself. Baseball bat or something.
4. Call the police. Talk loud enough, so the burglar can hear you.
5. Stay where you are until the police arrives.

If you are lucky, the burglar will run, when he hears you call the police. Which is most probable. They usually do not want to be caught.

Worst case is that he is on drügs and tries to break the door and kill you. But you are behind that massive wall. So he cannot shoot you through the door. Well, if he kicks and breaks the door, you are in trouble. Try to beat the gun out of his hand with your baseball bat. Good luck.

Dial 911; from a land line if possible since even if you are interrupted and can’t talk they will know your location. If you have a car with keyless entry press the panic button. The sound of your car alarm going off will probably scare the person away. If you can escape get out and run to safety; if you can’t get out hide. Unless you have no other choice do not try to fight off a burgler. They could be better armed than you.
