Valid. You will get a legal married certificate. It’s fun, but only at the time and not later due to most people making spontaneous drunken decisions and regretting it once they arrive back home. But many people that make the choice to get marry and travel to Vegas that think it through do fine.

Legally it’s allowed and can be done but yeah I might be great fun at the time but it would possibly have loads of downsides - I would say a proper wedding locally done would be far better in my opinion

I certainly hope so! Otherwise, the last 19 yrs have been a big bust and I could have left a long time ago! (o; Seriously, yes they are legal. You have to go to the courthouse and pick up the permit beforehand, and they give you the license after your ceremony. It’s actually a very nice option for couples such as my bH and I as we were paying for our own wedding. (we were in our 30’s). For about $250 we had a nice ceremony that was videotaped, silk flowers, pictures (they were a little extra), and limo ride to/from our hotel.
