What do I wear to an interview for Front Desk at a Museum?

I’m extremely nervous haha. Some people tell me just wear black pants and a nice shirt… but I don’t think that’s enough. I have one blouse but it’s short sleeve and it’s freezing here! I have this work-like looking dress but it looks really ‘professional’ and it’s cold haha and I have to take two buses and a subway to get there. I also have a sweater dress http://www.garage.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=24131426&colorId=1208997 that one in particular, would that be enough or suitable? Or should I just go buy something, if so what?

Whatever you do, don’t overdo the outfit! Not to much jewelry or makeup! Good luck,

Hmm, I’m thinking the business suit look………..for example the black pants and blouse would work with a blazer? Is that the right term?

The work- like dress seems appropriate too, can you wear a long coat over it during the trip?

At any rate, whatever you wear, if you feel comfortable in it, you’ll do fine….:)

Answer #3

No sweater dresses aren’t exactly professional looking more for any other day at work but not for an interview. But that would be cute maybe a blazer/suit

I would wear what you said the same exact outfit just wear some gloves and a winter coat. Dressy pants, blouse and shoes. With a coat that looks good. Don’t go out to buy anything because in the end you MAY not get it. not worth it. Just work with what you got. it’s pretty good I think. . . Good luck!!!!
