Have you watched the movie 1984 from Orson Wells?

I havent watched yet but i have heard that most things from that movie are happening now in real life, so Orson Wells had a big immagination or he did time travel i know it sounds crazy but who knows. What do you think?

I wouldn’t go that far. Since political hyperbole is so over the top now we tend to use elements from 1984 to describe the other side. For example, the right might consider politically correct speech as Newspeek while the left might call right wingers who want to whitewash history textbooks the Ministry of Propaganda. While it certainly is good to read 1984 as a cautionary tale remember that while we may fall short of our ideals we are no where near an autocratic socialist dictatorship. The most prophetic movie I know of is :”Network” from 1976. It anticipated news becoming entertainment, ratings more important than ethics, corporate interests trumping everything else, the rise of Glen Beck, etc.
