Video I-pod or PSP?

Ok so as you might know..a lot of people prob post comments about this subject. ok well right now im torn between buying a video ipod or psp…I mean in the long run I think I’d get my moneys worth from the ipod but the psp has some cool things too and fun games…

the video ipod cost $300 and the psp $250 I think. One of my friends have a psp and its pretty cool looking…I like the internet so being able to get on it with a psp would be awesome..and when I travel I wouldnt be bored. if I did buy a psp I wouldnt put music on it though..I have 300 songs on itunes and I wouldnt want to keep spending 50 bucks on a bigger memory card. im not a big big game fan..I play whenever I have time but its not something I live for..so the main reasons for me buying a psp is for games/internet and uploading videos

ok for the ipod..I had a nano but it was stolen..anyway I loved it so much..it held all my music and I never thought I would need to touch a cd player again. after I bought it..besides like buying a case I didnt need to invest any more money on it..which made me happy..plus since it has video..I could download all my fav coldplay videos and keep them on file..or just download tv shows..so im leaning for the ipod..but please give me your advice..im $170.00 away from a ipod..and since christmas is coming soon I need to know what to buy. ok thanks for the help

Since a new Sony PSP is coming out soon the price of the current PSP was recently lowered from $199 to $169 making it a pretty good deal. The new model will probably be a bit thinner, lighter, and have firmer controls so you might even decide to wait a little while for the new one if getting a deal on the current model isn’t compelling to you.

One of the things I’ve long complained about with the PSP was the difficulty of getting video on it. The process of getting video on my Palm Zire 72 was simple (though time consuming unless you have a super fast computer); in Palm desktop just select the videos you wish to put on your Palm and it downsamples and converts them for you. Getting video on the Sony PSP was always difficult and often when you tried to watch them they wouldn’t play anyway. The latest version of PSP Video9 seems to have solved the problem; I’ve already transfered some movies and TV shows to my PSP memory card for later viewing. It still isn’t as easy as putting them on my Palm pilot but now I can watch video on the much better PSP screen.

The Sony PSP also has WiFi and a web browser (though the browser doesn’t work with all web sites). You can web surf on a PSP which you can’t do on a Video iPod.

I do notice that the music I listen to on my iPod sounds better than when I use my PSP as a MP3 player so if listing to music is a high priority that might make you lean toward the iPod.

I like the ipod idea but thats just me. I guess figure out which one you would get more use out of and buy that one first and then save up to buy the other as well.
