Basically you need to know which expansion slots you have available on your computer. This can be done through one of 3 ways.

  1. Open the case and see (not advised if you don’t know what to look for)
  2. Research your computer on the net to find out if there are any documents available online that would give you that information
  3. Go to www.dell.com, on the right had top side click on “Support”, then click on “Product Support” (the second of the green buttons) and follow the pop-ups as they appear.

One of these steps should supply you with the information you need… if still lost, send dell support an email by following these steps.

Go to “http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/emea/shared/support/dellcare/en/contact_technical_support?c=za&l=en&s=gen” (without the apostrophes) click on “Email Technical Support” in the middle and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope that helps… good luck

Once you find out the specs are, and what is capable with your motherboard like PCI Express 2.0,APG,or just regular PCI. A good place to look for a video card on the net is http://www.tigerdirect.com
