What was the first board game ever invented?
I did a report on these :D
Video Game: The earliest known interactive electronic game was by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann on a cathode ray tube.On January 25, 1947 and issued on December 14, 1948. The game was a missile simulator inspired by radar displays from World War II
Board Game :Senet. Found in many Egyptian ruins – four in Tutanchanun's tomb alone – this seems to be a multi-piece racing game with movement controlled by dice, which have been found as far back as 6000 BC in Egyptian pyramids. It's very similar to today's Backgammon. The first racing game. The first board game employing dice.
I did a prooject on it as well (the video game part, at least, I'm just a nerd when it comes to Egypt ;P) you have the Senet part right, but the first video game was Tennis for two, built for a lab's visitors day, it was so popular that day they decided to sell it, it wasn't too terribly popular though... hope it helps!
im pretty sure Monopoly was the first board game. , not sure about the video game tho
Oh.... Thats embarresing :S Thanks for clearing that up Leo :D
eh, it's ok, it wasn't popular :P
Hope this helps :D
