VERY tiny baby parakeet

My mama parakeet successfully raised five babies last year. This year she only laid two eggs. One has hatched and she left the nest and is not feeding the baby nor sitting on the other egg. The baby keeps crying but she is ignoring it. Is there a way to hand feed theVERY tiny baby parakeet (two days old 7/20/09) and how do I keep it warm?

I need advice fast please. Or do I just let nature take its course? The male is ignoring the baby also. Can you email me at jriggen@eficorp.com

You’ll need to go to a petshop or a birdfarm and ask someone for advice on WHAT to feed them. I can’t help you with that, but here is a link that may prove useful (unfortunately my experience in feeding parakeets and birds that young is very limited)
