Very confused
I recenlty left a guy I had been dating for about 8 months; it was probably the most loving, healthy and fufilling relationship I had ever been in. However, he got separated a year ago this month and signed his divorce last summer. We got into a huge fight a couple of weeks ago in which he told me he had no idea who he was without his ex wife and their marriage; completely understandable I know, but I panicked. Those words really got to me and I stuck it out because I kept telling myself that I should be patient and nto give up on him since I was falling for him. I couldn’t do it; I told him last week it was over and that I wanted to give him his time and space. Now I question if I did the right thing. He told me that he would love to be with his ex again but it’s not going to happen. Should the fact that it wont happen be enough to stay with him or did I do the right thing in leaving him? I mean, if his ex did come back then where does that leave me? I am so confused!
If he wants someone else, the 100% verdict is: Unfulfillment leads to unhappyness. You did the right thing. You cannot be happy knowing that he would leave you for someone else. Dont waste precious life pretending happyness.
