Urgent- Windows 2000 Professional Password gone.

Yeah, I’ll try that and see if it works. If anyone else has other ideas, tell me please.

I have tried but it still asks for a password.

Oh no!. When the log on screen appears, Did the administrator accounts appeared? It should appear besides your other admin accounts. It sucks if the one that install the Windows 2000 also put password to the administrator.

I have another idea, do you know how to clear CMOS RAM? But if not you can reprogram your laptop, upgrade it to higher version of windows, like xp. That’s only good if you don’t have any important files stored to your laptop.

If your computer is in workgroups, here are some method I know:

1. Log on your computer by using built-in Administrator account in safe mode, its password is default blank if you never change it.
