Is it unusual to feel fat even after losing weight?

Ive gone from 235lbs to 187lbs, and i still feel exactly the same from when i was at my highest weight. I still look the same to myself, even though im wearing smaller clothes. Is this weird?

Answer #1

well its more of a self concios thing

Answer #2

It’s probably just a psychological thing. You’re thinking you’re fatter as you seem to have low self-confidence. I’m sure you will adjust and notice the weight that you have lost soon. Well done on losing the weight!

Answer #3

so thats like a self concios thing? idk if mine was right. but my spelling isnt :D

Answer #4

Not unusual at all. It’s actually because you’ve identified with being overweight for so long, that your brain and personality can’t accept the “new you”. I actually have friends that lost a ton of weight, and at least one re-gained on purpose because she just didn’t feel like herself when she was thin. It’s related to body dismorphia in a way.

Answer #5

Not unusual, you may just be bloated from high protein/fiber products.

Answer #6

Nope, not unusual. If you’ve just lost a lot of weight, you are probably still feeling insecure. It takes a while to shake off that. Ask someone to go shopping with you, maybe a new wardrobe will kind of break the image that you have of yourself in your head.
