Unbearable pain in left arm, need help

Currently I am having shooting stabbing pains down my left arm from my shoulder to my fingers and also a tingling feeling on the left side of my face and left leg. Any suggestions what could have caused it or what could stop this pain?

Answer #1

anything having to do with your left side can be a sign of a heart attack.

Answer #2

you might have had a small stroke that affected the left side of your body. I agree. go see a doc.

Answer #3

If it persists, go to the ER.

Answer #4

Am I not a bit young for it to be something that severe?

Answer #5

numbness and shooting pain in the left arm is never good. and if you have pain the best thing to do, at any age, is to go strait to the er to get checked out.

Answer #6

It could be a pinched nerve, sprained muscle, or a variety of other possibilities ranging from minor to serious.

You really should see the doctor about it, since we’re not qualified to diagnose you.

Answer #7

uhm have you been bitten by like a spider or a snake by any chance. look on your arms for two puncture wounds and if there is swelling

Answer #8

Are you slurring your words? can you lift your arms up and keep them there or do they just fall back down? If your words are slurred and you can’t lift your arms then ring an ambulance as soon as possible. If those aspects are ok then I would suggest going with what others have said.

Answer #9

it’s probably a pinched nerve.. does it hurt your arm when you move it more or leave it still? if it hurts more when it’s left still, then it’s a pinched nerve, if not, you should go to the doctor.
