Trusting someone

A friend of mine and I were hanging out the other day and he happened to lose his ID and Credit Card, this also happened the weekend before when we were hanging out (we used to hangout out almost everyday but work has been busy for him) to get back on track, he accused me of stealing his ID and Credit Card because I was the only other person with him and this was the second time it had happened. I am not one to lie or steal things from people and he knows this but he ended up accusing me anyways. Then he ends up realizing he left the ID and Credit Card at his house and said sorry he doubted me and also said “I’ll understand if you don’t want to talk to me anymore.” I ignored that text and just said, “How’d you get on Base?” Our conversation kept going but I felt out of place to talk to him since I had just been falsely accused of something. I was wondering if I should still be his friend or just let it go. I mean I really liked the guy and I can see he likes me but he won’t admit it to anyone and he is deploying to Kuwait in Feb. what would I do?

It’s up to you, but that kind of behavior is fvcking annoying. I think that if it happens again, tell him that he’s being a total a-hole if he really thinks that you took his cards again. Don’t just slide it under the rug, actually confront him.

Thanks for responding. I haven’t seen him since that day but legedly we are hanging out tonight. I am going to tell him I forgive him, but I don’t think that our friendship will be the same as it was before because it seemed he could trust me until the situation last weekend. Also that next time something goes missing dont go blaming me because you know already that I wouldn’t take your stuff.
