Answer #1

maybe.maybe not. but just follow thr right procedures to get approval. goodluck

Answer #2

If you give them notice in advance then you shouldn’t be getting into trouble. Like ameena said, make sure you follow the right procedures.

Answer #3

Depends what kind of job it is. If it is a professional job then you will have to give them at least 2 weeks notice, and they may not give you the time off. If it is a more school-girl type job like a waitress, coffee girl, fast food restaurant, part time shop assistant etc then they will probably understand as most of their past and present workers are still in school. Make sure you give them sufficient notice and tell them why you need the time off when it is school related.

Answer #4

May be , It depends Upon The attitude of your school authorities !

Answer #5

It depends on the policy of the company and type of job. It’s really about convenience for your boss more than being in trouble; that is, your boss will have to find someone to cover the shifts you can’t work.

Ideally, 2 weeks notice is given but it’s not very often we know of things that far ahead of time.

But to answer your question, you can never get in trouble just for ASKING for time off. All requests for time off are just that: requests. Ultimately, whether that time off is given to you is at the discretion of your supervisor. In my opinion, since your reason deals with something academic and not personal (like you want to go to a party, movie, etc) then time off should be easy to get.

Answer #6

Most employers who hire students are prepared for these kinds of things … school always comes before work. If your employer feels differently, then they obviously don’t respect your education. Anyway, as already stated, make sure you give adequate notice so they can schedule around you.

Answer #7

As long as you say something in advance and bring a note from school.

Answer #8

Most business will allow off time with a 2 weeks notice beforehand, it really just depends on your employer though.. If it has to do with school I imagine they would understand the circumstances.
