Travelling to Auschwitz

I am jewish, members of my family died there and in bergen belsen. I would not find photographs of anything related to that period offensive…I say…shoot it ALL. In fact, photos of smiling tourists standing next to the ovens or piles of shoes drives the point home of what happened there more than photos of the flowers now growing there. People always ask ‘how could it happen?’ ‘How could so many claim to not know what was going on?’ A photo of a smiling tourist in a place that horrific…Answers those questions. Most knew…they just did not care because it was not them or their loved ones. The people that are smiling now…believe me…it was not their relatives that perished. The people standing numb or crying…they understand.. Take all the photos you want…take everything…just do not be rude or intrusive.
