why are people so afraid of the transgender community and why are clothes stereotyped into masculine and feminine categories, does it really matter if a man wants to be percieved as a women or women as a man?

well obviously your religion teaches how wrong it is so majority of you “religiouse people” dont understand or accept it majority of the religiouse people, patrticuarly the christians do not undertand or accept the fact the some people arnt straight and a lot of them certainly dont like them either this isnt ALL of them its just a fair majority of them and if it wasnt, we wouldnt be hearing about hardcore christians saying that god is going to kill all the gay people and we wouldnt have so many chrsitians complaing about why they think gay marrrige is wrong

I have no idea. From an American perspective, a lot of people from the midwest and other sparsely populated areas never see trans people and so its hard for them to understand it. Also, there are a lot of religious conservatives who use their faith to justify their bigotry. Really, there are just a lot of simple minded people who, I think, cannot deal with so many variations and differences in the world. It is easier for these people to see the world in black and white, good and bad. It makes things simple for them. And then, living this life, they become and angry and confused when a person lives outside of this norm and challenges their way of thinking. The best thing to do is to “be the change you wish to see in the world” as Gandhi said and be accepting and an advocate for trans people and really all people!

I dont have any long 3 paragraphed answer, but I guess I could just say that having a fear of something, is just a word for not understanding something. and to have the understanding of Transgender is pretty complex I think. so if people said “yeah I understand it but they freak me out” then they really dont know the true thoughts behind it. because in my mind. theres a reason for everything. and you’ve got to understand a certain persons reasoning for doing whatever they do. (this was longer than I thought..)

and the whole feminine and masculine thing of clothing.. I.. dont have an answer for it? to some people it matters, to others it doesnt. thats all I can say. because just as I previously said. they( you or me or both) dont know the true thoughts behind it I guess. and isnt everyone entitled to their own opinion?

Answer #4

Actually, I think you’re right…”fear” is the emotion to honestly describe the reations of some to transgenders …and fear seems to always come out sideways…like anger, prejudice, hate…etc.

Women are luckier here, than men…we can wear what clothes we want, our hair the way we want…wear makeup or not…without fear of being misundertood.

It appears however that the “times, they are a changin”…you hang in there…there are many, many people who really do believe it’s not the package you come in, but what’s inside…It also appears that “the times, they are a’changin”…you’re young enough to possibly see the day when prejudice and fear no longer rule.

“so quit with your judgments you dont know anything about us “religious people”

??? Where in any of this have I judged religious people in any way shape or form??? Your reply is appreciated but im not sure why you had to add some attitude to a simply polite question, Im not debating religion im asking about transgenderism in society as a whole, sorry if I offended you but sheesh, chill!!

Answer #6

I have no problem with them but a lot of other people do, especially religiouse people because its not what there “god” wants them to do but being gay, bi, transexual, transgender, ect doesnt make anyone any less human as for fashion most men like to be manly and hate there sexuality being criticized or questioned so a lot of them dont wear female clothes or like people who wear female clothes but were all human, no matter what our sexuality is and whatevere it is, its normal for whos doing it

Answer #7

Im not afraid of the transgender community, I just think they’re nasty. Im not sure why clothes are categorized as masculine and feminine. Same as why I don’t see what makes pink a “feminine” color or blue a “masculine” color. It shouldn’t really matter. If you’re a guy a pink appeals you to then wear it, why does it matter? it shouldn’t matter at all. I get what you’re saying!
