Can I have touch screen support on Windows XP home/professional/media centre?

I know this is an odd question! but my uncle just gave me an old tablet PC from 2001, its a fujitsu stylistic 3400 :) the good thing is that, it works!! only down side is that it has windows 2000 “/

I don’t have windows xp tablet edition on disc and I read that its only given to OEMs and not retailed to the public (correct me if i’m wrong!). However, my dad has alot of old operating systems on disc (including the ones mentioned above)

Can I run a normal version of xp but still have the touch screen working?? thanks in advanced :D

I don’t think so(don’t nail that down though)’cause i have a laptop with multiple touch with windows 7 home premium and all the reading i did on the windows touch portal says nothing about XP….your not missing much. There is only a few good programs made for touch although eveything works i rarely use it.I can count on both hands how many times i turned on touch…microsoft virtual surface globe is pretty neat though but i’d rather have it on a tablet….like at least 11 inches and 3D(laptop is 3D too but you need ram and a great video card) If i knew then what i know now i could of saved about $500.00 and still have a powerful laptop but without touch….if i was you i’d save the money and look for a tablet….only my opinion though….hope it helps.
