How can I make my torso more proportional?

Like if you look at my torso I look like an athlete(well built and strong) from my chest to the top of my stomach, but right underneath is nothing but flab. I’ve tried working out that area but nothing really helps. I’ve started eating better and hopefully that will help, but any other ideas?

Do you have muscle underneath the “flab” as you call it, or is it just soft and without muscle?

Some people do have fat there but muscle underneath. If that is the case with you, working out that area will not help a lot, unless you do it excessively… As it hasn’t helped you in the past. You’d probably need to adjust your diet.

If you do NOT have a lot of muscle underneath, even after working out that area, you might want to ask a fitness trainer for the right exercises. Let them show you how to do them - and let them correct you if you do something wrong. Some people do those exercises wrong. Like they do sit-ups but they don’t use the belly musculature - but their back and thigh muscles instead - to move the torso up and down. And then they wonder why they don’t get the six-pack.

It depends on what you mean by eating better. My best friend is on a diet she lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Just by cutting ALL sugar from her diet. This is obvious, but if you cut all sugar from your pantry, fridge, freezer, you wont be tempted. Some people are not allowed to do that. You can buy a mini-fridge and store your own food. Thanks and when I said I’m eating better I mean I’m following this meal plan and everything on it is there for the protein/carbs they give. Also none of it has too much calories. Also Im drinking alot of water and eating healthy snacks in between meals.
