How can I stop the bleeding from where my tooth was pulled?

Put a wad of gauze where the tooth was and bite down firmly for a half hour and it should stop. Just don’t pull the clot out otherwise its bare bone and it will be extremely painful and ul need to go to the dentist. I just had a tooth pulled and that’s what they told me to do.. I wouldn’t worry about pulling the clot out to much, but as ur pulling the gauze out rinse ur mouth out to loosen the gauze first

lots and lots of cotton. I had 4 teeth pulled at once, I can no longer eat a certain type of ice cream because it reminds me of the taste of blood (because I ate it when the bleeding was almost over)
