Does getting a tooth removed hurt?

I have had at least 5 extractions in my life and it doesn’t really hurt much at all. They first inject you with anesthetic around your tooth then pull it out and it only hurts a bit after the anesthetic wears off but really it’s nothing to cry about at all. I hardly noticed.

depends on which ones. ones farther in back somewhat hurt for a short time.

Well they pretty much numb your whole mouth, so that it won’t hurt, but I thought it still still did.. Not dying pain like being stabbed in the face, about as much pain as pulling off a scab? But it’s funny when you have a numb mouth because they send you back int o the waiting room whilst they wait for it to go numb, and everyone starts looking at you weird because your drooling everywhere :P

Normally it’s numbed enough to where all you feel is pressure, not pain…..

I had to have two of my permanent teeth extracted a while ago.. I was really scared lol but I closed my eyes and I didn’t even realise that they had injected the anesthetic.. Then they pulled it out.. My lips felt numb for a while and I had ice cream to help stop the bleeding.. It was fine. Didn’t hurt at all.. Lol I think u should close ur eyes for the whole time, since when u don’t see, ur not too afraid.. I’m terrified of needles so yeah, closing my eyes helped :D but doesn’t hurt at all.

I got a wisdom tooth removed about 2 months ago. It didn’t hurt while being pulled because they numbed it, but it started hurting as soon as I got home. I had to take pain meds for it.

They only give laughing gas to special patents. :P

To me, the worst part was when they injected the shots in my teeth. It’s sort of like a pinching feeling. The pain doesn’t last very long though. Other than that, everything else is painless. I’ve gotten 4 teeth taken out on the same day before!

Nah, ive had about 5 removed and it didnt hurt me at all. 1 time they broke my tooth in half, the only thing that freaks u out is the noises like cracks and stuff haha

Update- i’ve had it done and it really hurt afterwards :( and the overall experience was horrible, blerh. never again
