Tongue pirecing

I’m thinking about geting my tongue pierced. I’’ve been reading up on it and most everyone says the piercing itself doesn’t hurt just afterwards. right??? well, what if you put some numbing oral gell on your tongue? will that help? or is it safe to put that on an open wound? Yeah I know the cleanign process. FYI

I’ve had my tongue pierced for awhile almost a year

when I got mine done it was a friday and for the whole weekend I ate crushed ice drunk slushies , I reallly kept myself well hydrated and ate pretty much the same things except for the dairy but honestly by that Tuesday after I got my tongue done I could cheese and stuff just fine

I really think its bc I would eat ice and kept hydrated , it never swelled up or anything , but everybody is different .

really just kept eating ice and things like that and there wont be swelling stay hydrated and yu should be fine .

I dont think its a good idea to put numbing gel on it bt as long as its safe for your mouth and you use in moderation , but as you know yu gotta keep yur tongue so clean after yu get it done it might be a waste to keep putting it on there.

but yu should be fine w the crushed ice and stuff like that !

if yu need anything else let me know = 0

thanks you yeah you really did help, most people say they just ate soup and warm stuff, but by you eating the ice and slushy that makes more sence with the swelling, well thank you very much.

Yeah for the most part it doesn’t hurt, just a pinch. I didn’t find afterwards painful either it was just irritating haha. But basically everyone has a different experience, so theres really no way to tell until you get it done.

Uhmmm as far as I know it’s not safe to use numbing products on any piercing, seeing as when it’s pierced some of it may get inside, and trapped with the swelling. That can’t lead to anything good. Honestly though I’ve found that if anyone wants a piercing bad enough they’ll put up with whatever pain comes along with it…
