Answer #1

Ive only ever eaten tofu cooked, and it is quite tough then, but from what I know it is just fungi and natural things so it should be fine if you like it that way

Answer #2

Yes, you can eat tofu raw. I believe it has more nutrients raw, as a lot of nutrients that are in certain foods decrease when being cooked.

If you are going to eat tofu raw, be sure you get fresh tofu…and it should be in an air tight container. If the tofu is packed in water, that usually means it’s not in an airtight container. The reason it needs to be in an air tight container is because the chances of the tofu attracting bacteria are very high when not in an air tight container. Usually, this bacteria gets destroyed when the tofu is cooked, but eating the tofu raw could cause the bacteria to get into your system…which could cause food poisoning.

Answer #3

The only ways I ever eat tofu are fried, and raw. It’s PERFECTLY fine. I’ve been eating it all my life because i’m a vegetarian. I absolutley LOVE raw tofu with soy sauce :)
