Why do I become so shy in school?

At school, I am sooo quiet I hardly ever talk. I have very low confidence and that doesnt help me at all. I get very nervous in front of large crowds, and I get very embarresed when I make a mistake. At home, I am very loud and hyper. WHAT DO I DO?! HELP PLEASE!!

Answer #1

That is normal…I was like that when I was little… I just started talking out loud in class… I am hyper and happy… I try to make people laugh and thats when I became confident…

I used to be the same, but recently just became myself again! This all happened because my I had lost my BEST FRIEND my 8th grade year, then from there on I lost my confidence! But then I just started saying hi to everyone and it went on from there, now I can carry on a conversation, without feeling imbarresed, but every now and then I do get shy, but your shyness will always be there!

im the same way it sucks to be quiet but I do it anyways lol im so scared of what people think of me while im at school

Answer #5

I just stopped thinking about it so much. you just have to think “who the hell cares” if I mess up . im as bad as I used to be. you will probably start to outgrow it like I did. smile at people say hi once in awhile. my problem is that I blush a lot. if thats the case with you just think of something else (not your red face) and count to 10. just relax.

Hi iscenekid7. I was so shy and quiet in school, my classmates teased that I needed a microphone when I’m reading. Looking back at it now, I’m proud to say that at least I wasn’t one of the noisy and undisciplined kids. How I came out of my shell was taking DRAMA (acting) CLASS in school. Put yourself in a flamming fire then the rest are just nice warm bubble baths! You’re naturally a loud and hyper person. You’re just more comfortable to be yourself at home which just make you like everyone else so that’s nothing to worry about. Find a way to break out of your shell. Note: It’s never easy to do that but you’ll be glad you did!!

Have fun and good luck! Hope I was able to help.

I am the same way. I get good grades and everything, but I get so scared to raise my hand in class cause I’m afraid of getting the answer wrong. at home, around my bros, I have no problem saying exactly wut I think. ok, dont panic. I say, just take a chance, raise your hand to read aloud, or answer a question once and a while. over time, you confidence will build and you wont be as shy. go for it!

I had that issue too. im not really sure how I did it but im a little more out there now. I think a big part of it is thinking about it. next time your nervous about something, this about whats the worst that could happen? and you’ll realize its not that bad. Also, if you have to give a presentation or somehting in front of people and your worried, just think about what you thought of the other people doing the same presentation or whatever, you’ll find that you dont really care about other people doing theirs and if they screw up you don’t really care and people arnt going to care when you do.
