How to get title updates for your xbox?

I recently purchased some dlc for my xbox 360, and tried to play it, but a message appeared saying that I need a title update to play the game. What is a title update and how do I get it, otherwise I can’t play the dlc. :(

Im pretty sure any update automatically gets downloaded from xbox live, u just need to agree to whatever ita asking. Mine says something like “an update is available for download, u will need to be disconnected” or something like that, just say yes, and it should do it for u. If thats not it u probly need to buy something with microsoft points..

I bought it with micro soft points and I would usually expect an automatic update, but there was nothing when I started the game, even after restarting.
