What's a free way to get website traffic?

Do something interesting with your website (eg, funny video, etc) and encourage people to send it to their friends. Remember the hamster dance some years ago? The thing was so viral & popular it even ended up as part of a TV commercial for Microsoft.

If you can make something go really viral by sending it to your friends…then, you’ll get more traffic than you ever dreamed.

Even though this site changes the url click on them and see how easy it is. Dont pay for visitors. I made the mistake of that. they dont send real people to your site.
