Who thinks the internet has made hypochondria all too easy?

It seems like people are trying to find illnesses they have and self diagnose so much more these days.

Answer #1

Ha ha ha ha…touche. Yes, I agree completely.

This just in: “OMFG, I have a rash, it burns when I pee, should I have used protection?”

OR this one: “Does this cold sore mean I have something bad?”

OR this one: “Is it possible that after I you know, touched myself…I could be preggerzzz?”

OR this: “So…I was in a train station. I know people are filthy. I could swear I heard a cough from the other side of the building. What are the symptoms of swine flu b/c I also had a cheeseburger?”

Answer #2

definately. Now the hypochondriacs can find out all about different conditions they never knew they had

Answer #8

HAhahaha this whole issue makes me smile because the answer is a hundred percent yes, i live with 2 hypochondriacs and when they talk about being ill they start with “according to the internet i have…” I do believe the internet can be useful for someone who can actually filter the information in their own mind, but some people are just missing that judgement

Answer #9

Oh yes yes, yes! I, myself actually do this. I’ll be in the city and somebody on my bus will cough and I’ll be holding my breath for minutes waiting for my stop. I run to work and jump on the computer, go on google… Flu symptoms, Common cold, etc etc etc… It’s terrible ‘’/
