You should never smoke around your animals as it’s just the same as a human. Even if you smoke in another room indoors - within 30 minutes the smoke will be in every room in the house so always smoke outdoors as well.

Of course it affects them. Second hand smoke will affect anything with lungs. Never smoke around animals or babies/toddlers. Their lungs are much smaller and the smoke could potentially kill them.

Well dogs have a sense of smell more then 100x more effective then that of humans. So, if we inhale the fumes, it harms us. Why couldn’t it harm the animal? I think it could deffinitly harm them. ):
