What would be a good thesis topic?

Well, I can’t really suggest a topic, but maybe the ones you submitted were rejected because it lacked a few qualities a thesis topic should have. I’ll list them down here:

1.) It has to be an opinion, it has to be arguable- thesis topics usually show how the writer feels about the issue he/she is writing about, so in order to make an impact to your reader, you either have to make him agree with what your saying or argue with it.

2.) It has to show what your whole essay will be about- a thesis topic is like an introduction to your whole essay, so you have to make it interesting enough for someone to enjoy reading it. For example, if you want to talk about three memorable things that happened to you over the summer, your thesis should be “my summer was fun but (event), (event) and (event) were the highlights of the whole thing.” And then for the body of your essay, talk about those three events, one paragraph for each.

3.) It has to be important- Your essay has to be worth reading right? Your thesis topic has to have some importance, you don’t want to watse your poor reader’s time. Besides, the way you write shows your way of thinking; writing about something important gives people the impression that you’re well- educated and intelligent.
