There is a new technology with which surgeons can simulate surgery before the actual procedure.. it involves feeding all data like scan, usg etc to the system and the computer will simulate the procedure..

My dad works with this stuff.

He was telling me about this program that updates patient records, recommends medications, checks for dangerous medication reactions/mixes, does diagnoses, and allows doctors to check all this–from their PDAs.

How about new technologies that allow doctors to perform operations and tests using non-evasive or less evasive techniques (I.e., getting inside a person’s body with minimal cutting or insertion of instruments) which reduce the trauma to the patient’s system. For instance with new laser technology doctors can perform many types of routine surgery on an outpatient basis (patient visits doctor’s office or clinic for procedure and goes home the same day rather than being cut open and having to spend a few days in a hospital) with minimal cutting which results in faster healing and less use of hospitals.

How about injuries and trauma? Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about. I had to stick my two cents in. LOL.
