Teasing this guy?

K, so I have this guy friend and we talk a lottt, like all the time and were friends. But hes my best friends ex. And she kept asking him if he liked me so finally he said yes. Yeah, he tells me a lot that he thinks im really pretty and how im nice and funny and everything but I just want to stay friends. Like I do like him but my best friend would be mad so we both know its pointless to like each other.. He keeps asking me if we can hang out soon, and I don’t know what to say because I feel like ill be a “tease” seeing as I know he likes me but I wont admit to liking him. He doesnt know I know for sure, but I know everyone will get mad that I hang out with him knowing he likes me? If this makes any sense to you.. Please reply with advice on how I should handle this situation. Thanks.
