Im going to the hosipital tommarow for tb testing (teberculosus) im volunteering there. Long story. Anyways. How do they test yopu? Shots or pee or what?? And what is teberculosous anyways?

TB testing (also called TB tine testing) is done by scratching the skin of your upper arm, and then looking at the site several days later. If you have been exposed to TB, the test will reveal that. (A positive reading doesn’t mean you HAVE it, just that you have been around it.) TB is a bacterial infection usually in the lungs. You can have the germ in your body and not have it active, and it can be treated fairly simply. Early detection is REALLY important. Once it becomes active, it can take a year of treatment to cure it. (If it is left untreated it is 50% fatal.) Almost all serious cases are in developing countries.
