Your nose is “stopped up” from the cold. You actually only taste a few things - saltiness, sweet, sour. Everything else is smell.
The “taste” of beef, peanut butter, chocolate is all smell combined with the sweetness or saltiness you actually taste.
When your nose clears up, you’ll get it back.
If you burnt your tongue on something your taste buds shouldn’t take too long to be back to normal, usually only a few days or less.
Arg! That really sucks, its just part of the nastiness of having a cold. There’s not a lot you can do, hope you feel better soon. :)
