Symptoms of never ending yeast infection

For the longest time I’ve been having weird vaginal discharge and itching. I’ve gone to the gyno twice in the past 4 months for it. The first time, looked for yeast, found very little, and treated me for a yeast infection. About three months later, no better, go back for a more through exam, treated again for a yeast infection. Here I am about a month later, still having the problem. I bathe regularly and shave. Any other ladies have this problem?

The color of your underwear helps? I’ll checkout the vaginal flora, that sounds like a really good idea. My insurance changed recently, so it was two different doctors. If trying to the steps you advised doesn’t work, I’ll definitely go back to the doctor. Thanks!

Yes, it does. I do not have any idea why though…it’s something to do with the dye they use to make underwear…apparently it can aggravate or cause infections.

Answer #3

I don’t have the problem myself, but try and change the type of underwear and soap you use as well.

Try and get cotton underwear - preferable white. Don’t use perfumed soap.

This advice was actually given to on of our clients by pharmacist.

Also what you can get is vaginal flora - it’s a product (usually taken orally) that makes sure you have enough natural bacteria down there and it regulates everything.

As for it being so long…maybe it could be something else. I hate to say it, but you’ll have to go to your doctor again and tell them that you keep on getting it and that it isn’t working. Maybe a different doctor?

could be a bacterial infection. I get the same problems myself. there is a pill you can take where its a really nasty taste of a dosage and there is a cream that you insert vaginally which works a lot better. but your obgyn would have too run sum tests and prescribe it. another sign of an bacterial infection is lower abdominal pain and can be dark brown discharge also. it can spread to your organs if left untreated. mine when they caught it was on its way there soo get that checked asap.
