Why do I swell up during sex?

It kind of sucks when I have to stop because I swell up and its kind of embarrassing when it happens before he’s able to finish. Like, I know its normal to swell after sex, but not during. And i know its not an allergy to latex, because it happened without a condom too. What could be causing me to swell? And how can I stop it from happening?

Answer #1

What’s swelling?

Answer #2

Around the entrance to my vagina

I think, when you get ‘excited’ your vaginal walls will sort of stretch, you’ll get wet, your uterus will rise, you vagina ‘lips’ will thicken and your inner ones will open, then your clitoris will swell and get bigger.. Normally, the whole vagina will swell because of the blood flow.. I’m not sure how to stop it, but I think that’s what it is that is happening.. I guess you and your partner could either go faster at it, or slower.. That might help? But their is no reason you should feel embarrassed about it or anything.. It’s who you are and how you function and in some cases it is how you will stay. Your vagina might just get used to the swelling & eventually not do it as much, or as bad? But then again, I’m a guy so I can’t give you an exact answer! If your partner gets upset, annoyed, or feels let down when he doesn’t get to finish, you can finish him of by masturbating him instead :3 Hope this helped in any way at all :D

Answer #4

Hmmm maybe that’s normal for you? Is it painful?

Answer #5

You should check with a doctor.

Answer #6

it could be that your body is rejecting the act, like it is not ready or it has been going for too long. check with a doctor though since it could be that something is wrong and that is how your body is warning you

Answer #7

yeah, it is the entrance to, not only around, so it makes it makes the entrance really tight and painful, its never hurt for more than a day before though

Answer #8

From what I understand that is normal. Just before I orgasm mine swells up really tight just inside the entrance.

Answer #9

This is normal, but it should not get so swollen and tight that it hurts. The good part…. there is medicine that will control the swelling. The bad part, the medicine that helps keep the swelling down, will also desensitize your vagina and make it harder for you to climax. See your doctor or gynecologist

Answer #10

Well, it’s supposed to swell up a bit. Maybe you’re nervous and your muscles are tightening up, which makes it painful. If you just started having sex, this is normal and it shouldn’t hurt after some time practicing…

Answer #11

thank you :)

Answer #12

Sometimes it swells up because of roughness.
