why do people that belive in god have to be so obsessed about it? really to people that see beyond the cults of religion we don’t care. Why don’t you people just do someting with your life like try to cure aids in africa

Answer #1

God provided a WAY for anyone to get to Heaven - explained in John 3 : 16 - you are certainly free to accept or reject and experience your own eternity - just maybe those people CARE enough to try and help you - people CARING is not a bad thing.

Answer #2

There is none so blind as he who will not see.

Answer #3

Orion helped many people here, some eternally, though she tried to reach them all - faith without works is dead - she pointed so very many to Jesus, Amen !!

“Well done”

Answer #4

NOT ALL PEOPLE ARE CRAZY LOVING CHRISTANS…most are normal and usually don’t speak about god until they have chruch on sunday. People believe in god because it’s the whole hope aspect of having a higher power to actually believe in and it so important for people to have faith in something because even if you have nothing in a way you stil have god. In a way it’s like a support system. I understand how you feel how reilgon being shoved down your throat because a lot of people feel the need to spread the word about god haha even I have tried . I think you need to be a little more respectful on how you go about treating this issue and how you go about the whole Africa thing because really your just contradicting yourself I could say the exact same thing to you so I would not try bullying peoples beliefs in god. But I do respect your willlingness to speak out and state your opinion on the issue hopefully now you are more well informed

Christians are people just like you except for one thing, they hate sin; not the sinner. Christians love God first, people second, and themselves last. Jesus taught us to “love thy neighbor” and if a Christian truly loves God then they truly also love their fellow man even if they are dispicable, rude, demanding, foul mouthed, liars…we love ALL mankind.

Jesus Christ told us to reach out to the lost (anyone who choses not to follow Jesus Christ) in love by living a Christian life. If someone is interested in why they are so calm or so caring, giving and ask us what makes us so, we are to tell them about our beliefs. It is up to the lost to either accept it or reject it.

Christians believe that Jesus Christ’s second coming is very near. Our world is coming to an end. There is but little time left to choose God to follow. If you do not choose Him, then all who refuse to believe and follow God will be destroyed at His second coming; sin cannot exist in the presence of God.

I hope this sheds a little light on this topic.

God bless you and I pray that you will make a decision for eternal life, not eternal death.

One more comment then I’ll leave you alone to contimplate. I was so lost before I came to Jesus. I didn’t know just how lost I was until He filled my soul with His peace, love, and His light. Maybe that is why we Christians desire to share Him with others. We want them to that know the devine power He gives us in our walk with Him; we want them to choose Him and live through out eternity in heaven.

Jesus put a love like no other in our hearts and if the person doesn’t block it He will completely change your life and they’ll be ten times more at peace than they’ve ever been before. I guess it is because He loves us first that we love Him and desire to help those who are truth-seekers find Him.

May you give Him a chance; He is knocking on your heart’s door and if you open it and allow Him to come into you, He will cleanse you of your sins and help you to follow Him.

Since He loves us far more than our friends and families, He strives to show us, tell us, guide us, to His truths, but if you shut the door He will never force it open. It is all up to each of us. God gave each of us free will. Accepting God as your Lord and Saviour is the greatest thing you’ll ever do.

We can choose to follow Him and live eternity in heaven, or not choose Him, which is eternal death by default. Please choose wisely…your decision has eternal consequences.

This was before I became a Christian; An aquintace of mine asked me to go to church with her, I relunctly said that I would. Before the ‘big day’ I came down with a horrible cold; sneezing, coughing, fever, zapped of all energy…so I called this friend and told her I was too sick to go.

She came back with “Well, I’ll be ther in at 9:00 am to take you to church. She was overly push and demanding even though I said no’ she didn’t believe I was that sick.

Well, I ended up going, but was so weak and sick that she appologized over and over for making me go. Needless to say, I never wanted to see her again or her church.

Years later I ran into this person and she again apologized to me. By that time I had become a Christian and understood where she was coming from.

Even though she was too pushy, I knew it was with a sincere heart. This kind of Christian really does have your well-being at stake, but we just need to over look them, and try to understand them.

Answer #8

The reason that Christians are so ready to spread the Gospel is because it was the last instruction that Jesus left.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

One major problem with Christians is that they are all sinners, and are incapable of spreading the Gospel message perfectly. However, that does not necessarily mean that they are doing the wrong thing by being faithful to the last command that their Lord gave them.

As far a curing AIDS in Africa goes, the Chirstian missionaries (and the established clergy) are doing their best to stop the spread of AIDS, through education about how it is spread and encouraging people to live chaste lives. While there is no cure, the Christian understanding of sexual morality would go a long way towards stopping the spread of HIV.

Answer #9

so you don’t like us loving God…don’t you think we get tired of people constantly trying to shove stuff like ‘God’s not real ‘ or ‘why’ et cetera et cetera et cetera…down OUR throats…People are so blind and selfish…it’s not like we are hurting anyone..all you have to do is not listen or whatever. Christians have been through a lot just to be able to love God and not be burned or stoned to death for it. It bothers me to no end when people that are too old to be acting like rebelious little punks post stuff like this because they think it’s cool or they want to measure the reactions or they’re bored. So… your mind is too narrow and your eyes too weak to imagine something so grand. It’s your loss and I pity you poor fool. How do you point your finger at us and tell us to get a life? How does this grab you? Why don’t you get a life and stop bugging people and go create some way to cure aids in Africa because picking fights over the internet is pathetic…

Answer #10

I don’t find that all believers are “obsessed” with their religion. Only some are and they tend to be the most vocal and obnoxious of the bunch. Most believers are just ordinary folks and I have no gripe with them.

Answer #11

They think they are better because they go to a place and anyone who does not think like them must be crazy or on drugs. Its mostly just American Christians that act like that. I dont really care what you believe or dont believe, just let me think what I want to without telling me what the hell you THINK I should believe.

Answer #12

because god will take care of those people in africa, I used to feel the same as you but when you go thru something so bad that you can’t see how you are going to go on,that’s when you look to god for strength or you should, it’s something that takes time to understand and a will to want to learn because you are so fed up with the way life is, you want a better life and when you find a good church that you are comfortable in (usually not the first one).it is the best feeling in the world to know that you have friends that you can trust you really should give it a try it is an amazing feeling of peace like you have never had before.by the way if you are a jesus hater how do you feel about god do you feel he is real if not how do you explain our being

Answer #13

I love Jesus. Opposite of your name and what you obviously stand for. So why does that make you mad? Where do you feel you have been wronged by Him? I am not trying to convert anyone. I share with whom wants to have Jesus shared with. That’s as simple as that. Africa is why people have hearts and they try to make it a better world. Without hunger and other things we would be blind to what is needed in this world. LOVE. Good Luck, PS. What are you doing in St John if you hate religion so much. LOL

Answer #14

I am not a religious person, and I have serious issues with the Religious Right in the US. But I will say this about Africa since you brought it up, there are many charitable Christian organizations who work to combat the spread of AIDS in Africa, as well as malnourishment, and the other tramautic problems on the continent. Of course, there are hundreds of secular organizations doing the same thing. But the majority do have a Christian or other religious affiliation.

Answer #15

look who is close minded !!! you say you are happy just the way you are,are you a angry person,if so trust me you are not as happy as you could be, do you think christians look down on you or something I kind of sense that in your tone,if you do then I don’t know that you have met a really good christian you know my mom was the same as you at one time she said there was no heaven because space ships had been out of the earth and found nothing up there but when they told her she had a brain tumor she asked “god if you are there please help me thru this and now she will talk to me about god he is real and there is a heaven waiting for us and for some there is a hell too.

Answer #16

Ye but thats what I am saying. You people try to convert us when we dont want your bloody Help. We are happy the way we are. We dont need someone telling us about a book that was written by HUMANS about events that were unexplained so people needed reasons so that is why they created religion. Just pathetic that people get sucked in so easily. I think it is becuae they are too closed minded to really see everything

Answer #17

every religion have their own set of such people !!

Want to try something DIFFERENT ???

just do the following RIGHT NOW ;

1–chant ‘hari om’(hari as in HURRY & om as in HOME without the ‘H’) do this repetedly & a point will come where you will feel like you just want to close your eyes ( in that case case do it).At this point increase the number of O in om like HARI OOOM & then —HARI OOOM— & so on.when you chant this VEDIC MANTRA then remain silent (no thinking!,fidgeting, moving, etc) for an amount of time taken to chant this one mantra.this looks very very simple but its effects are very very very large (even ALBERT EINSTEIN would not had imagine it !!!). this is called ‘CHUP SADHANA’ & I learned it from ‘param pujya ASARAMJI bapu’.—>”www.asharam.org “

also read folowing http://hariombooks.googlepages.com/english_book_TheSecretOfEternalYouth.htm http://hariombooks.googlepages.com/Elixir_of_life.htm it will help remove all weakness from you, believe me millions have obtained benefits from it ,literally.

note: women during their periods are not to chant OM but they can chant HARI

this I say to you on basis of teachings of ‘param pujya ASARAMJI bapu’

Answer #18

I agree with the answers here. Jesus is our top priority because he has given His life for us, and because to serve Him we let other people know that this is on offer for them too. Your AIDS example - if we had the cure for AIDS and were keeping it to ourselves, how selfish would we be? So would it be right to do ask you ask, and keep Jesus to ourselves?

However, you may be thinking about something that bothers me, too. I’ve been offered a lot of Christian books lately that offer to meet ‘my deepest need’ etc - GOOD GRIEF! MY deepest need??? My deepest needs have been met through being born into a comfortably-off family, in a wealthy country, becoming a Christian and being happily married with a family and a career. When people are starving and dying of AIDS, why on earth should I be concentrating on allowing God to meet MY deepest needs? I need to get to know Jesus better in order to worship and serve Him, in order to find out what He needs to get done regarding injustice and need in the world, in order to pray for and work for people with AIDS.

So maybe we Christians do need your wakeup call, not to take our eyes off Jesus, but instead to stop looking so much at our own lives and, instead, to look with His eyes at the world.

And arthur001 and kingofpop are right - if you look at people who are doing something about AIDS in Africa, many are Christians or connected to Christian organisations. They’re seeing the world through Jesus’ eyes…

My daughter, Orion, sure did love the Lord didn’t she. It does my heart good to read her words; it confirms what I already knew about her, that she loved God and loved people too. She lived her belief by helping others find Jesus.
