How strong is the toxin/venom in a Black Widow Spider?

You can die from it, only if you are allergic. If you are not allergic, you will most likely get some swelling and maybe a little sick….depends on the persons immunity to the venom

You CAN die from a black widow spider, but if you seek immediate medical attention, it is unlikely. I know people who have gotten bit, but none of them have died even after days without treatment. One got severely sick with staph infection(or MRSA) and was hospitalized, but most people who go to the hospital right away do not die. The venom from a spider does not travel as fast as let’s say a poisonous snakes venom. Not saying you can’t die from it, there is a chance. But it’s not as sudden as something more serious.

a black widow’s venom is like a gun shot to the knee. if you were to move, the venom will travel faster into the blood steam, so you cant move much.the venom WILL kill the victim beause that is what the spider intended to do. with medical help the person have a chance to live if acted fast enough.

I got bit 2wice by a black widow…both times the docs said if I wouldn’t have came in to the hospital when I did I would have died….a black widow bite acts as a boil…it flares up and is all pusy then it causes ur veins to look like spider veins dark blue in color….u vomit and fever….not coperstetic
