Strat is constantly detuning

I own an HSS Fender Stratocaster…love it to death, but normally I have to tune it everyday. It has a floating bridge that is really loose…could that be the reason why the strings are detuning so quickly?

Answer #1

K so I just noticed something else…the strings only detune themselves very unpredictably. Either they go out of tune drastically in the course of a day, or they remain perfectly intune over the course of a few days. I did the test of checking with a tuner where you go…step 1) test open string…step 2) test string at 12th fret…to check for differences in offset frequency. My chromatic tuner detected nearly 100% similarity in consistency. Honestly I don’t get it…that would mean that the floating bridge should be perfectly balanced, right?

Answer #2

Your trem is off balance meaning the strings are not even to the neutral point this can be adjusted using the springs at the back under the back plate,
