Try writing your feelings down as cheesy as it can sound. I find it helps a lot because I get upset and end up crying if I talk to somebody and then because I’m crying so much I can’t talk. You don’t have to write everyday, perhaps just days when you feel you need to. If you have an creative interest such as drawing, do that! I drew a unicorn last night. :D
Exercise, go out with friends, watch a funny movie, hang out with your family. Just things to distract you really.
I make movies when I’m upset.

Exactly what the person above me said. Distraction is key. I’ve noticed when I’m distracted, I don’t think about the things that make me depressed. It’s when I’m alone that I think about it and start feeling sad again. But if you keep yourself busy you’re fine….until you have to face yourself. Distraction doesn’t CURE it. It just helps you temporarily forget. If you want to be cured it takes serious councelling. But if forgetting is what you’re aiming for then distraction is the option for you. :)

it can be really hard to stop it i have clinical depression and have gone through alot of stuff. sometimes it cant be stopped but trying to destract yourself with friends or doing art or doing something that makes u think about something else can sometimes help and sometimes a good nap can too but dont sleep to much because it also can make it worse
i NEVER clean my room, and whenever something bothers me, i do it. (: ALWAYS works haha :D

Antidepressants. :P Of course, it’s much better to settle down with non-drug stuffs. Keep busy, have a hobby, hang out with friends, and eat LOTS of sweets [especially ice cream]. :D
when i’m upset or down, i put my headphones in go to my bedroom and listen to really loud. almost as if i’m theoretically blocking the world out, i gather my thoughts try to gather an answer to why i am feeling this way and a way to fix it. after i have done this i talk to my bf and explain my thoughts and stuff to get them off my chest and listen to his feed back. he always makes me feel better=)
