How can I stop my laptop from getting hot?

whenever i use it, the bottom gets REALLY hot, and starts making a humming noise. Even if i have it on a desk for ten minutes this happens.

Don’t but it on covers and use it you need to let it vent. There are vents on them you can’t cover them.

The best is to get a laptop cooler.

i let the fan breath so it isnt covered up by the desk etc

I used to have this problem with my old laptop. You have to make sure the vents are not blocked… you could lean your laptop on top of any random book to do this (this worked for me).

I use a laptop cooler. It’s basically an aluminum device with 3 fans, blowing cool air up under the pc. They are not expencive. You can also put two thin pieces of wood or plastic under the pc, and just get the machine an inch off the table to make better airflow. And never sit with your laptop in your lap :)

keep it on a side like a wooden desk or a small table. This should stop it from overheating. hope this helps

I set mine on a baker’s cooling rack (you know the grates for putting hot cookies on?)… worked fine.
