How can I start my own cleaning business?

I would like residental but can would also do small offices. Do I need a permit and how does it work out with the IRS?

First you need to get at least a DBA, I would go with an LLC for your protection. Then I would recommend a some form of expenses tracking software or system. For our spa we use a software call saloniris, for my computer company I use a CRM called vtiger, but quickbooks will work fine. Then you will also need tools of your trade, you should know what is best for this. I would just be careful and do a lot of planning and door knocking. Also be really careful with you advertising expenses this can really set you back with little to no return.
