Is Splenda really bad for you?

does it cause cancer? my mom says it sdoesnt but ALL my friends say it does. ???

Yes, it is fake sugar which people have been saying links to cancer. In the long run drinking diet drinks or using fake sugar is saving you from the calories but hurting your body, so it’s actually better to drink regular soda or use real sugar as long as it is in moderation… Hope I Helped!

Me and my whole family have used it for basically our whole lives, and no I have never heard of any cancer caused by it, people probably develop cancer and try and blame other things for why it has happened.

It’s the saccharin, aspartame and other chemicals in it that first gave laboratory animals bladder cancer that started the fear. There hasn’t been any more evidence confirming the correlation, and there is no evidence about cancer in humans. I’d recommend ignoring the supposed cancer link. all of my friends keep saying it causes cancer but my mom is a doctor and she said that splenda is better than sugar cuz it doestn have the calories that regualr shugar has and it doesnt cause cancer…xD
