Spider rat

I have a dwarf hamster named spider rat lol he is a grumpy rat. He keeps biting me lol. What can I do to make him not bite me? I just want to pet him lol.

sometimes they are like that. I used to have 3 lol they were hard work. you just got to keep taking them out and playing with them so they get used to you and then wont be scared and bite you. also wash your hands before you handle them because if they smell something on your hands they might just nibble to seee if it is edible.
