Every time you want to buy something , ask yourself “ do i need it ‘

i take money out of every pay check to save.and the rest i put into my checking account to pay for gas and other activities i would like it do. so mostly i’m a saver.. i would like to say i’m a saver but yet will not hold back to spend if it means having fun.usually i buy little things.like a diner once and while with friends or a pack of gum to share with everyone.or buying a water balloon shooter

Saver. I work hard and it took me several years to develop this philosophy: “pay yourself first”. Money goes into a savings account ‘before” I pay any bills or spend it on anything else.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not “tight” If I want to spend I will, just try to be careful about it.

Answer #37

A spender (: I love to shop.

Answer #38

I know that I have a problem with spending money. I’m greedy, but I love stuff too.

So I have taken the time to developed a system that keeps me from spending most of my money and allows me to save money. I keep it so that the money I want to save is harder to get to. Like my savings account is at a credit union that is on the other side of town from where I live or work and excluding 1 day a week is only open when I work. This makes it hard to retrieve money from there since I have avoided getting any kind of debit card for my savings account. Any large amounts of money I get (ie tax returns) are direct deposited into my savings account. I portion out money from each check for bills, and my money left over I leave most of it at home so I can’t spend it. Also have avoided getting a credit card, and rarely use my checking account’s debit card. So I force myself to buy things with cash, which makes it much easier to see how much money I have left for the week.

So I am inherently a spender, but have forced myself to be a saver.

Answer #39

Thank you

Answer #40

Good system

Answer #41

Thank you that’s a kind thing to say. I feel blessed to be able to work, earn money, pay my bills and have a home. I grew up dirt poor and nothing ever handed to me. I’d come more near helping someone than I would buying something material.
