First the Indians then the Spanish controlled west of the mississippi river, untill the eastern 13 english colonies sent govement agents to the west to scout for gold ( to promote the western immigration gold rush before the spanish got to strong ), so is this how the west was really won BY GREEDY EASTERN GOLD DIGGERS ?
